These are the published child safety standards for Programmer Finder (Google Play package com.platka.programmerfinder, App Store "Programmer Finder"), developed and operated by PT PLATKA SOFTWARE DIGITAL. They apply to the mobile app, to programmerfinder.com, and to every feature within them — profiles, discovery, chat, and meetups.
Programmer Finder has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Such content and conduct are absolutely prohibited on our service. There is no context, no private conversation, and no account standing in which they are permitted.
1. Who may use Programmer Finder
Programmer Finder is an adults-only (18+) service, because it can show your approximate location on a map to other users nearby. You must be 18 years or older to create an account. This is stated in our Terms of Service and enforced at sign-up.
We do not knowingly permit accounts belonging to minors. If we learn — through a report, a moderation review, or any other means — that an account belongs to a person under 18, we terminate that account and delete its data, including any published location.
2. Prohibited conduct
The following are strictly forbidden and will result in immediate, permanent removal from the service:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — creating, uploading, sending, requesting, linking to, soliciting, or otherwise distributing any image, video, text, or other material that sexually exploits a minor, whether real, animated, or computer-generated.
- Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form, including grooming, sextortion, sex tourism involving minors, trafficking of minors, and any attempt to sexualise a minor.
- Contacting or attempting to contact a minor for sexual purposes, or using the app's discovery, chat, or meetup features to arrange contact with a minor.
- Impersonating a minor, or presenting an account as belonging to a minor.
- Promoting, normalising, or glorifying the sexual abuse or exploitation of children, including sharing external links or communities dedicated to it.
3. How to report a child safety concern
Anyone — a user of the app or a member of the public — can report a child safety concern to us. You do not need an account to contact us by email.
- In the app. Every user profile and every chat has a Report action. Choose the category that fits — use Dangerous for child safety concerns — and add a description. Reports go straight to our moderation queue.
- Block first if you need to. From the same profile or chat you can Block the user immediately. A blocked user can no longer see you on the map, open your profile, or message you. Reporting and blocking are independent — blocking does not withdraw your report.
- By email, at any time. Write to [email protected] with the subject line "Child safety". This reaches our child safety point of contact directly and is prioritised ahead of all other mail.
Please do not forward, re-share, or store suspected CSAM in order to report it. Send us the username, a link or description of where you saw it, and the approximate time. That is enough for us to act.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. In Indonesia you can also reach the national child protection hotline SAPA 129 (Kementerian Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak) or Komnas Perlindungan Anak.
4. How we respond
Child safety reports are the highest-priority item in our moderation queue and are handled ahead of every other report type.
- Triage within 24 hours. A human moderator reviews every child safety report within 24 hours of receipt. Our moderation tooling lets us suspend an account and remove its content immediately, before the review is complete, where the report is credible on its face.
- Removal and permanent ban. Confirmed CSAE violations result in immediate removal of the content, permanent termination of the account, and a block on re-registration.
- Preservation of evidence. We preserve the relevant account data, messages, and metadata for law enforcement rather than deleting them outright, for as long as applicable law requires.
- Reporting to authorities. We report apparent CSAM and CSAE to the appropriate authorities — the Indonesian National Police (POLRI) and Kementerian Komunikasi dan Digital, and, where the material or the parties involved fall within its remit, the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via its CyberTipline. We cooperate fully with valid law enforcement requests.
- Outcome to the reporter. Where we can do so without compromising an investigation or the privacy of others, we tell the reporter that their report was actioned.
5. Design and preventative measures
- Adults only, by design. The app is rated 18+ on both stores and is positioned as a professional networking tool for working developers, not a platform for minors.
- No public media sharing. Profile imagery comes from a connected GitHub account, not from arbitrary uploads, which materially narrows the surface for distributing imagery through the app.
- Location is opt-in, coarse, and temporary. Location is only published when a user manually checks in, is snapped to a ~500 metre grid on the device before transmission, and expires on its own. We never receive exact coordinates and never collect location in the background. See our Privacy Policy for the detail.
- Blocking and trusted places. Users can block any account outright, and can mark trusted places and trusted hours during which they are never shown on the map.
- Human moderation. Reports are reviewed by people, not solely by automation, and moderator actions are recorded in an audit log.
6. Compliance with law
PT PLATKA SOFTWARE DIGITAL complies with all applicable child safety laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where Programmer Finder is available, including in Indonesia:
- Undang-Undang No. 23 Tahun 2002 as amended by Undang-Undang No. 35 Tahun 2014 tentang Perlindungan Anak (Child Protection Act);
- Undang-Undang No. 12 Tahun 2022 tentang Tindak Pidana Kekerasan Seksual (Sexual Violence Crimes Act);
- Undang-Undang No. 44 Tahun 2008 tentang Pornografi (Pornography Act);
- Undang-Undang No. 11 Tahun 2008 as amended by Undang-Undang No. 1 Tahun 2024 tentang Informasi dan Transaksi Elektronik (Electronic Information and Transactions Act);
- Undang-Undang No. 27 Tahun 2022 tentang Pelindungan Data Pribadi (Personal Data Protection Act).
We also comply with the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy and the Apple App Store Review Guidelines on user-generated content.
